What Makeup Brands Make You Feel Nostalgic?

In the remarks yesterday, Nina and I (hey, Nina!) had been chatting about department keep brands from back again in the working day. I got to contemplating about all the splendor brand names at the counters in the mall that make me truly feel nostalgic. I have so many fantastic reminiscences of going for walks into the New Park Shopping mall in Newark and viewing all the magnificent, glittering merchandise shown at Macy’s.

My favorites back again then were Clinique, MAC and Prescriptives… Keep in mind Prescriptives? I wore their basis and powder for a couple decades. I was all about their perfume Calyx, way too.

I also appreciated popping by Origins for their body merchandise and Estee Lauder for their perfumes.

When I feel of Clinique, I keep in mind the Clinique counter that was in the bookstore at my college or university in Davis. Yup, you could pop in for an natural and organic chemistry e book and pay out for it at the Clinique counter just as extended as you bought some make-up or skin treatment. I’d inventory up on my favorites: a taupe pencil liner (I would like I could recall the name, ugh!), Black Honey lipstick (the OG), free powder and a taupe eyeshadow called Fawn Satin.

If I needed to seize lipstick or lip liner from MAC, I’d have to generate to Sacramento to the Arden Fair shopping mall. I continue to bear in mind the little small counter tucked in the corner and getting a tube of Paramount lipstick and Mahogany liner.

Oh, and the perfumes! Goodness gracious. Estee Lauder Pleasures, Clinique Delighted and MAC Turqoatic ended up my jams back in the day.
